Gilty Girl Cosmetics

There are very few brands out there that I would consider "favorites."  To achieve that status, I would have to try the entire scope of what the brand has to offer and find a consistent quality and appeal throughout the products I've tried.  I can honestly say that Gilty Girl Cosmetics has quickly become one of my favorite nail polish brands hands down.  Their polishes are 5 free, feature a multitude of shades and finishes, and I've been loving every single one.

L to R:  Enigma, Poem, Bae Fog, Muse

I love the unique shades Gilty Girl Cosmetics offers.  If you are a fan of blues/greens, then pay special attention to this grouping.  In all honesty, I do not gravitate towards blues/greens ordinarily.  These shades, however, are unique and unlike anything I've had readily available at local stores.  Enigma is a true, fresh mint shade.  I've always loved mint polishes but many lean either too blue or green to be called mint in my opinion.  If you are looking for a go-to mint shade, this is it!  Poem is a gorgeous icy blue with subtle sparkle that's perfect for the winter.

L to R: Enigma, Poem, Bae Fog, Muse

Both Poem and Bae Fog go beautifully with gray sweaters/tops which is what I practically live in this time of year.  Bae Fog really surprised me because I didn't anticipate liking it. However, it's becoming a fast favorite.  It's almost a dressed up denim color - a necessity with a hint of sparkle.  Muse is a unique deep teal with sparkle that's a great holiday color.  I don't typically wear a 'true green' so this is a great way to incorporate that shade range while looking a bit more... polished.

L to R: La La Land, Volatile, San Francisco

Craving pinks and the like?  La La Land is the ultimate glittery pink that will add the right touch to holiday outfits as well as spring/summer ensembles.  I would suggest three thin coats to get ideal opacity with this shade.  It would also make a beautiful topper for nude shades.  It's definitely one of those polishes that will make you smile just looking at it!

Volatile is a beautiful, vibrant neon coral.  This is the ultimate summer shade in my opinion.  It's a nice alternative to pink but still feminine and eye-catching.  San Francisco radiates fall.  It's a versatile, deep burnt orange.  It has a chic warmth to it that really appeals to me.  I never would have thought I'd love a color like this, but wow, it's stunning.

Left: Rococo  Right: Vain

These two polishes speak to me any time of year.  I have been obsessed with gold this holiday season, so it's easy to see why Rococo has a special place in my heart.  I have never had a glitter polish that applied so true to what I admire in the bottle in just TWO coats.  I was even pleased with one coat and that is unheard of when it comes to glitter polishes.  If you love glitter polishes, and especially gold, Rococo needs to be number one on your wishlist.  It is phenomenal.

L to R: Rococo, Vain

For an all-purpose nude that compliments a variety of skin tones, Vain is gorgeous.  It has a light "greige" tone to it that I absolutely love.  It's like a staple nude shadow you turn to all the time - this one is a necessity.  Though I do think it makes the perfect holiday/New Year's shade, it's great for any time of year.  I definitely plan on wearing this one a lot!

No matter what polish you are wearing, healthy and moisturized cuticles are a must.  Gilty Girl makes an outstanding cuticle oil.  It's not heavy or greasy and easily absorbs into the skin.  It contains organic, vegan and kosher oils too.  The scent was the first thing that drew me in and it comes from honeysuckle and apricot oil.  Apricot oil provides intense hydration and smells absolutely amazing.  I have been applying this oil to my cuticles each night and it has really helped with my dry skin.  I even apply it after my morning shower sometimes when my cuticles need a little extra nourishment.
