Influenster ft. Kerastase

I was so excited when I was notified that I would be receiving the Kerastase VoxBox from Influenster!  This box features a shampoo and conditioner from the Therapiste line.  This line focuses on over-processed and damaged hair.  I recently dyed my hair so I'm excited to have a product to add extra nourishment to my newly-dyed locks.

The interesting thing about these products is that the conditioner gets used before the shampoo.  The idea behind this is that the conditioner repairs and protects the hair before the shampoo.  For additional conditioning, it can also be used after the shampoo.  The shampoo has a unique "jellified" texture that coats the hair to protect and reduce friction.

Even though this system is different than I'm used to, I have to say my hair felt really soft and moisturized.  The conditioner looks like a typical formula, maybe a bit thinner than other conditioners I have used.  It felt strange putting that on my "dirty" hair because it didn't glide on the hair as easily as hair that is shampooed first.  For that reason I felt like I used more than I normally would had I shampooed first.  As the directions said, I let it sit in my hair for a couple minutes, rinsed, then followed with the shampoo.  The shampoo formula was quite interesting.  It was an extremely thick formula and a little went a very long way!  It left no residue and still felt like it was coating my hair with moisture, despite being a shampoo.

This was my first experience with Kerastase products.  As much as I enjoyed trying it (and will obviously continue to use it)  I'm not sure that the results are worth the high price tag.  If you want to try this line, but also do not want to pay $20-$40 for a shampoo or conditioner, they have a masque and serum you can try.  While these products aren't cheap, they will probably last longer than a shampoo and conditioner so you may find they are worth the higher price tag.
