Fall Series ft. City Color Harvest Moon Palette

The City Color Harvest Moon palette is filled with newly reformulated shimmer shadows that bring a gorgeous warmth to the eyes.  The colors range from light, shimmery highlight shades to dark browns and a stunning deep berry.  You can get a variety of looks from this palette to suit both day and night, which makes it even more versatile.  Let's take a look!

On the left side of the palette you will see mostly lighter tones, suitable for the inner corner, brow bone, or overall brightening on the lid.  If you prefer a matte brow bone highlight to balance out the shimmery tones, you will need an additional shade.  I would say that is the only thing missing from this palette for me personally.

The overall color scheme is perfect for fall.  You can get a beautiful warm starting with the peach tones as transition colors in the crease.  They blend very well and give a nice alternative to mid-tone browns.  Some of the lightest shades need a bit of building, particularly the first shade on the second row.  It is a gorgeous light pink that is almost iridescent.  I think that is the only color that didn't have the same payoff on the lid as it did in a swatch.

Although all the shades in this palette have shimmer, they do not appear overdone when combined on the lid.  You can get a gorgeous, soft look with the lighter tones or add depth and drama with the deeper shades.  My favorite of the darker colors is the berry tone on the bottom right.  Every time I reach for this palette I want to do a look focused on that one shade!

The style of this palette is very compact.  The packaging isn't bulky and would be easy to travel with.  However, the clear window on the lid of the palette is a thinner plastic which may not provide enough protection to the shadows.  If you plan to travel with this palette I definitely suggest wrapping it in some way to protect it.

Overall I love this palette and the color selection.  It has enough variety to provide a multitude of looks and I will definitely get a lot of use out of it this fall and beyond.
