NewBeauty TestTube August 2015

This month's NewBeauty TestTube is filled with nourishing products for your skin and hair.  I have definitely been looking forward to the cooler month's (though I just might eat my words when the bitter cold blows in!).  This TestTube has everything covered to pamper your skin and hair for the ultimate spa night or to prep for the colder weather.  Let's take a look!

Bio-Oil ($3)

Talk about nourishment.  I love the feeling of moisturizing oils and this little bottle will go a long way so I can tell if I'd like the full size product. I have been wanting to try Bio-Oil ever since I was pregnant.  I never bit the bullet and paid for the full size because I wasn't sure if I would like it.  This is the perfect way to try it out!

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion (~$7)

This item is absolutely perfect for my skin.  It exfoliates, reduces shine and helps reduce the look of pores.  Check, check check!  I've never used a product like this before.  You simply massage it into damp skin for about a minute, let it sit for 1-2 minutes to activate, then rinse clean!  I will definitely be a welcome treat for my skin as my first experience with Dr. Brandt products.

Dermaquest Serum (~$35)

Serums deliver intense hydration and go beyond what a typical moisturizer can provide your skin.  This serum has Vitamin B5, Hyaluranic Acid and Ferulic Acid.  It is lightweight and fast-absorbing so it's an easy step to incorporate into any skin routine.  I love serums so this is going to be my go-to moisturizing serum this fall and winter.

Loccataine Creme Divine .27oz (~$17)

This cream provides moisture and anti-aging benefits.  It includes seven plant-derived ingredients, essential oil, and hyaluronic acid (which I love in my skincare!).  It has a nice, fresh scent that isn't over-powering and applies smoothly on the skin without feeling greasy.  It's the perfect size for travel if you don't want to pack a full-size cream.

Altcheck MD DePuff Eye Pads ($4)

With early mornings and long days, my tired eyes can use all the help they can get.  These eye pads will help hydrate, refresh and minimize the look of fine lines.  My under eye area gets particularly dry and sensitive in the cooler months so these will come in really handy to help soothe my skin.  These eye pads only need to be on for 15-30 minutes so I can easily fit that into my morning or nighttime routine.

donell Lip Balm ($7) *item may vary

No matter what time of year, our lips need protection.  This balm has no scent which is makes it versatile and more appealing if you prefer unscented lip products.  With the popularity of matte lip products, starting with a moisturized pout is an absolute must!  You can never go wrong with a lip balm.

Grande Lips Plumper Mini  ($26.95? - full size price, which has slightly less product than this Mini)

This is the only item that really isn't for me in this month's selection.  I loved the initial smell and feeling of this gloss and thought it was rather comfortable for a plumping product.  But, then it started to sting.  I know that's what these products typically do, but don't think I could sleep while wearing this product, as the directions suggest.  Unfortunately, it just wasn't comfortable for me personally.

It's a 10 Lite ($9)

I have tried the original formulation of this leave in conditioner and it was not bad.  I don't know if I had gotten an old sample at the time, but it became extremely thick and not so pleasant.  I'm hoping this lighter version is a thinner consistency and that won't happen again.  This is formulated for fine or thin hair, which I don't have, but since my hair is heavy, it shouldn't weigh it down which is great!  I love the spray so I don't have to get my hands sticky with hair product too.

Moroccan Cleansing Conditioner ($15) *item may vary

This product is my absolute favorite this month.  Not only does it cleanse, condition and help with styling, but it helps reduce blow drying time.  Sign. Me. Up.  My hair is long and thick and one of the things that drives me crazy is how long it can take for it to dry.  Anything that helps in that department, I'm all for trying!  I love a multi-purpose product.

This month's estimated total = ~$124

The NewBeauty TestTube costs $29.95 + shipping and handling and gets delivered every other month.  The value is really incredible, especially this month with all the amazing skincare!  I'm excited to have my hair and skin prepped for the colder months with all these fantastic products.
