May Favorites 2015

May Favorites

may beauty favorites 2015 - the beauty puff

"I can't believe it's already June!" said every beauty guru ever.  But yes, June is here and it is time for the infamous favorites post!  Some of this month's favorites are completely new to me and others are brands I have loved for a long time.  I think there's a good variety so hopefully you aren't completely bored seeing some products that have been featured on Instagram (@thebeautypuff ... shameless plug).

Studio Gear Matte Bronzer

Studio Gear Cosmetics is an "old favorite" of mine that I thankfully rediscovered and fell in love with all over again!  This is an amazing matte bronzer that is not the least bit orange and will suit a variety of skintones!  I find myself reaching for it every single day.  So if you have not seen a bronzer in my "motd" posts on Instagram, it's because this would be featured in every single picture!  You can read my full review of this bronzer here!

Rimmel by Kate Scandaleyes Mascara

This mascara has a "broke heart" shaped brush which is quite unique and I did not anticipate liking as much as I do!  Application and wear have been flawless with this mascara.  I have had no clumps or smudging even though it is not a waterproof!  I recently bought a different version of Rimmel's mascara with this same type of wand so I will be interested to see if I like that formula as much as this one.

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Prickly Pear

This eyeshadow came in the ColourPop Mondays in Malibu set I featured here.  I LOVE these shadows and it was difficult to pick just one!  I found myself reaching for this shade the most ever since purchasing it.  It is gorgeous all over the lid or enhancing the outer corner.  It is a plum with gold and pink glitter so these tones will compliment it very well!

L'oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation

This foundation was featured in the latest Meet Your "Matte"ch post which you can read here.  This is one of the best drugstore foundations I have found to control my oily skin and still make my face look flawless.  It is not cakey, thick or unnatural.  My skin still looks like skin (yes, I sound like a broken record if you've read some of my other foundation posts!) and I still get coverage of redness to even out my skintone.  A+ for this one!

Luxie Beauty Crease Brush

I got this crease brush in my May Ipsy Bag which you can see here.  This is the first Luxie Beauty brush I've owned but when I saw it in my Ipsy preview, I sought out another deal an the Luxie Large Angled Face Brush as well!  This brush blends like a dream and is incredibly soft.  I have washed it and have seen absolutely no shedding so far.  And to top it off, it's pink with a rose gold ferrule... love it!!

NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Cherry Blossoms

I have this lip lacquer in Chelsea Cherry Blossoms (#200) and Bare Brooklyn (#100). This is by far the best formulation for a long-wearing lip product that I have ever tried.  I have looked for this lip lacquer in my local Walmart but they do not seem to carry it.  I found it at CVS and used coupons in my Sunday paper and CVS Extra Bucks on two different occasions to get an even better deal!  Even at full price, for just under $5 these lip lacquers are amazing.  The color pay off, wear and texture are incredible.  They are smooth, lightweight and not drying on the lips at all!  When they eventually wear off (which takes a while, depending on if you're eating after application etc) you are not left with any unflattering creases or uneven wear.  LOVE them.

I hope you enjoyed this favorites post!
