Enhance Your "No Makeup" Looks

I don't know about you, but on days where I am just hanging around the house or running typical errands, I still like to look "put together."  I do the absolute minimum with my makeup - I moisturize and even out my skin, put on a bit of bronzer/blush, a neutral eyeshadow, and a little mascara.  It's nothing fancy.  Below are some examples of my go-to's for these type of days!

Let's say, on one of these "no makeup look" days, you get invited out to lunch or coffee and want to look a bit more polished.  With little time to get ready, how do you quickly enhance your otherwise "blah" look?  Here are a few of my favorite tricks to spice up my "no makeup" looks!  You can choose one, or all of them depending on how much time you have.

A Pop of Color

Eyeliners are an easy way to add interest and color to a bland look.  I have brown eyes so I gravitate toward purple a lot of the time.  If I use a brighter color, I like to put it on my lower lashline to make my eyes pop!  Pictured above: Butter London Wink eye pencil in Indigo Punk and Ofra Cosmetics eyeliner in Turquoise

A Deepened Outer V

With a neutral eyeshadow as the start to my look, the options for this color are limitless.  Even if I just put on a light shimmery shadow at the beginning of the day, a bronze, purple, or even cranberry shade would instantly intensify the outer v to help finish off my look.  Based on your skintone and eye color, you can have your pick with this step!  Pictured above: ColourPop So Quiche

Give More "Pow" to Your Brow

A simple run through your brows with a brow powder can instantly make your look a bit more polished.  Not everyone needs this step and it is all personal preference.  I did not always use a brow powder, but I find it really frames my look and adds a nice final touch!  Pictured above: Laura Geller Brow Duo in Brunette.

A Lovely Lippy

Depending on which steps you chose before this, the options could again be limitless!  You could finish off your look with a simple gloss or lipstick, depending on your style.  I wear nudes, pinks, and corals so my collection is pretty versatile.  I tend to keep a nude gloss or lipstick in my purse so I can instantly perk up my look without worrying about what other colors I'm wearing.  Pictured above: L'oreal Fairest Nude.
