LuxePineapple Lip Glosses

The Product

LuxePineapple has been taking the subscription box market by storm and breaking the mold with their "unsubscription box" lovingly called, The Box of Joy.  As the name implies this box is meant to inspire joy in the makeup lovers that receive it with a selection of high quality beauty brands at a beautifully discounted price.  It is no surprise then, as this company has grown, a new idea was cultivated into what you see above - their very own line of lip glosses.  I have two of the glosses from this line which includes five shades ranging from a shimmery nude to a creamy indulgent red.

The Function

From the very first swatch I could feel the luxury infused into these glosses.  They apply smoothly, look beautiful, and have Vitamin E to keep your lips moisturized.  They feel really buttery on the lips without that unappealing stickiness that many glosses have.  There is also no over-powering smell.  Now, on to the colors!

Vivacious is a gorgeous sheer shimmery pink.  The swatch below is a bit more concentrated than it applies to the lips.  It is a beautiful color that looks pretty on its own or over a lipstick.  If you have a nude lipstick that mutes your lip color, top it with this gloss to see it really shine!

Pineapple Lovely is a stunning sheer nude but as you can see in the swatch it has quite the pigmentation!  It can certainly be sheered out but I had no problem getting the opacity you see below.  This is the perfect summertime shade to compliment bronze tones.  It reminds me of a gloss I used to have from the Lorac Tantalizer line.  So pretty!

The Style

The applicator of these lip glosses is a brush and some may prefer a doe foot applicator.  It really doesn't make a difference to me as long as I enjoy the product.  It just means you may want a mirror to ensure even application (which I use anyway!). The packaging of these glosses is pure luxe.  The elegant design looks to me like the lip gloss is suspended in glass.  The unique shape of the packaging looks really pretty out on a vanity as well.  I can put the lip gloss down without it rolling away and because of the shape it is easy to tell when it is fully closed.  Form truly meets function with these luxe lippies!

The Bottom Line

I really like the color, formulation and packaging of these glosses.  I am excited to see what this brand has in store next.  If they ever come out with a light pink or creamy nude gloss, I will be first in line! I can see how much attention to detail was put into their products and I look forward to supporting LuxePineapple in their future endeavors.  Check them out on Instagram @luxepineapple and sign up for their emails to be notified of the release of their next Box of Joy!

Love,
