Spring Nail Polish Transformations

If you read my post on sheer nail polish you know I love transforming my nail polish colors!  Sometimes I want to get more wear out of certain colors, whether they are really dark or really bright.  In this post I will show you a couple summer nail polish favorites and how I like to transform or "lighten" them for spring!

On the left you will see both colors applied in two coats.  On the right, each is topped with one coat of Butter London's Hen Party.

TheBalm nail polish in I'll Pink to That is a gorgeous bright pink I love for the summertime.  It really pops all on its own, but sometimes I admit - I add glitter as well!  To tone down this vivacious pink, I use Butter London's Hen Party.  With just one coat it is transformed into a stunning pearlescent pink.  This trick also makes the color more versatile as it will not clash as much with its new subtle hue.

Wet n Wild's I Need a Refresh-mint is a "cult favorite" I saw everywhere on Youtube for quite some time before actually purchasing it.  I have to be honest, at first glance, it was not my favorite color.  But like any other beauty lover I could not resist the temptation and bought it for a mere $2 or so.  The color began to grow on me but I still thought it "needed something."  Enter Butter London Hen Party!  This nail polish once again worked its magic and turned a nice blue into an even more "refreshing" shade.
