My Dream Team

Products shown: Sephora eye shadow in Malted Milkshake (my "custom" brow powder), Coty Airspun Face Powder in Translucent, Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten foundation in medium, L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer in fair/light warm, and Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller in sheer tint.

No matter the season, occasion, or mood I happen to be in... if I am wearing makeup, you will find these beauties on my face.  It has taken much trial and error over the years to find products that agree with my skin (sensitive/oily/combination), look natural (not 100%, we all know it's makeup, come on), and make me feel confident going out of the house (my husband's loving compliments never hurt either).

My first relationship with makeup evolved out of necessity - teenage acne.  I am happy to say that aside from the occasional breakout I am beyond that stage and can rely less heavily on full coverage makeup.  I've tried liquids, powders, sticks, cream to powders, powder to creams... wait what??  You get the point.  I've been around the block, in the beauty world that is.  I finally settled on the fact that a powder foundation has a more natural look on my skin.  Laura Geller's Balance-n-Brighten beats them all, hands down.  And as my husband's words still resound in my head, his one request when I was choosing makeup for our wedding day... my freckles still show.

I may do a more in-depth post on each product, but for now, you can put a face to the name.. or at least the makeup to the face...  of The Beauty Puff.
